Each year, members of the Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce have an opportunity to nominate businesses for Business of the Year.

Winners are selected and recognized for their participation in the community and the Chamber through events and activities, contributions to the business industry as a whole, and contributions or in-kind support benefiting the Lincoln Chamber:

The nomination and voting process takes place in the November-December time frame and winners are announced and recognized at the annual Kick-Off Breakfast in January.

Eligibility
Nominee must be a member in good standing of the Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce. Current award recipients are eligible to be nominated for Business of the Year, but are not eligible to win for two consecutive years after receiving the award.

Categories
Small – 1-5 full-time equivalent employees or contracted representatives
Medium – 6-25 full-time equivalent employees or contracted representatives
Large – 26-100 full-time equivalent employees or contracted representatives
Major – 101+ full-time equivalent employees or contracted representatives

Nomination Process
Members of the community and the Chamber are eligible to nominate businesses. The nominee, after being confirmed as eligible, is notified by the Chamber and advised how to complete its business biography, the voting process and point system.
